Change an い-adjective into a polite negative form with ～くないです (or ～くありません).

Formation

い-Adjective (remove い, add く) + ないです / ありません

Explanation

To make an い-adjective negative and polite, remove the final い and add くないです. An alternative more formal style is くありません. For example, 美味しい -> 美味しくないです / 美味しくありません。

Example sentences

このピザは美味しくないです。

This pizza is not delicious.

Kono piza wa oishiku nai desu.
この部屋は広くないです。

This room is not spacious.

Kono heya wa hiroku nai desu.
彼の意見は面白くないです。
