ごろ / くらい

Saying 'about' a number: is it a point in time, or an amount, degree, or duration?

Noun くらい～ vs Noun ごろ～: Use くらい (or ぐらい) for approximate amounts, degrees and durations: 一時間くらい, これくらい, 千円くらい. Reach for ごろ only for an approximate point in time: 三時ごろ, 来週ごろ. ごろ can never mark a quantity, so 一時間ごろ is wrong.
