でしょうがない / 極まりない

～極まりない vs ～でしょうがない: Use 極まりない. It attaches to an evaluative adjective (失礼極まりない) and delivers a judgement, almost always a negative one. でしょうがない reports your own overwhelming feeling in casual speech and cannot pass that kind of verdict.

Grading a quality as extreme, rather than exclaiming about it.

～極まりない vs ～といったらありはしない: 極まりない delivers a cold assessment and attaches to an evaluative adjective. といったらありはしない is a dramatic outburst ('you have no idea how...'), so it reports the speaker's state rather than passing judgement on the thing.
