Explanation

The い-Adjective く する/なる grammar point is used to indicate a change happening (naru) or intentionally making something change (suru). When using this grammatical structure, the い-adjective is changed to its く form, and then is followed by either する (to make the change) or なる (the change happens).

Example sentences

  • I will make the room brighter.

    Heya o akaruku shimasu.

  • His face turned red.

    Kare no kao wa akaku narimashita.

  • Please make this dish spicy.

    Kono ryouri o karaku shite kudasai.

  • When it rains, the road becomes slippery.
