Joining two actions: just 'and', or 'and then' with the second clearly following the first?
それから、～ vs そして、～: Use それから when the second action comes after the first in time: 朝ごはんを食べて、それから学校へ行きます. そして simply links two things ('and') without stressing order, so it also fits listing traits or simultaneous facts where それから would imply a wrong sequence.
