Formation

Verb-casual + ものとして, い-Adjective + ものとして, な-Adjective + なものとして, Noun + のものとして

Indicates an assumption or supposition; 'assuming', 'under the assumption that'.

When to use

Formal, literary "under the assumption that" - written, formal planning/argument contexts.

Explanation

The ～ものとして grammar pattern is used to express a supposition or assumption: 'assuming that ~', 'on the premise that ~'. It often sets up a condition or rule as the basis for some action or decision.
