Example sentences

• 未来進行形は、未来の時点で進行中の動作や出来事を表現するときに用いられますが、例文は進行中の動作とは考えられません。

  The future progressive tense is used when expressing events and action in progress at some future point, however the example sentence cannot be understood in that way.

• 過去の動作については過去形を用います。

  "Past tense" is used in connection with actions in the past.

• 「述部」とは、動作を表す部分で、最後が「～だ」「～する」などになる部分です。

  The "predicate" is that part that shows the action in the sentence. In Japanese it would be the part that ends in "da", "suru", etc.
