Explanation

This grammar point is used when you want to express that something is impossible or there is no way to do something. The verb before 'べくもない' should be in its dictionary form.

Example sentences

• その問題はとても難しく、解くべくもない。

  That problem is so difficult that it's impossible to solve.

  Sono mondai wa totemo muzukashiku, toku beku mo nai.

• 彼女はあまりに速く走って、追いつくべくもない。

  She runs so fast that there's no way to catch up.

  Kanojo wa amari ni hayaku hashitte, oitsuku beku mo nai.
