Explanation

The ～ように grammar point is used to express a purpose, a way or a method, or a natural tendency. It can be used with verbs, い-adjectives, な-adjectives, or nouns. It is frequently used with the verb する (to do) to express the purpose or method.

Example sentences

• 子供が安全に過ごせるように、家の中を整理します。

  I will organize the inside of the house so that the children can spend time safely.

  Kodomo ga anzen ni sugoseru you ni, ie no naka wo seiri shimasu.

• 美しい花のように、彼女は笑顔が素敵です。

  Like a beautiful flower, her smile is lovely.

  Utsukushii hana no you ni, kanojo wa egao ga suteki desu.
